Inside a VerdiPot Wall Planter: Sizes, Openings, and Watering

Our wall planters are designed to keep their profile compact while making room for a plant, stored water and airflow. That arrangement is different from a tabletop planter with a removable inner pot.

Here are the details that matter most before choosing and planting one: the overall size, the planting opening, the reservoir and the routes for water and air.

Is there a separate inner pot?

No. VerdiPot wall planters do not have a separate inner pot or removable nursery-pot liner. Omitting that extra layer helps minimize the overall volume.

The plant and its potting mix go into the planter’s planting chamber. This is separate from the built-in water-storage space; it does not mean filling the entire object with soil.

A detachable component shown in an assembly image should not be confused with a drop-in inner pot. Check the instructions for your specific design before taking anything apart.

What size is the planting opening?

For Cloud, the product’s size diagram shows the following measurements:

The first column describes the overall body. The second is the width across the planting opening shown in the diagram—not the full internal planting volume or a recommended nursery-pot diameter.

These are Cloud measurements, not a shared sizing chart for every wall planter. Bevel’s published exterior is 5.1″ in diameter and 4.0″ high. For its opening dimensions, please contact us before selecting a plant that needs a close fit.

For either design, consider the size of the root ball and the space needed to pass it through the opening without forcing stems or roots. A large-looking exterior does not automatically mean a large access opening.

Where is the reservoir?

The reservoir is built into the planter’s body. It is not a separate glass vessel hanging underneath the wall planter.

Water is stored there and reaches the potting mix through the cotton wick. The wick connects the water-storage area with the planting area; it is not a pull cord or a packing material to remove.

Where do I add water?

Use the dedicated fill opening shown in the product’s interior close-up. That image distinguishes the refill access from the planted area and shows the cotton wick’s position.

Add water through that access, following the filling guidance for the model. Do not pour into a ventilation slot or use the top planting opening as a target water level. Keep the reservoir access clear of potting mix.

Because the reservoir is inside the body, identifying the fill opening before planting is especially useful. Leave it accessible as you position the plant.

How does air get in if the opening is small?

The top opening is not the only route for air. The wall-planter design includes two long ventilation slots, one on each side. They provide additional airflow around the planting area without requiring a much larger opening at the top.

The slots are part of the functional design, not accidental gaps or decorative lines to seal. Keep them clear of added liners, tape and other obstructions.

Together with the reservoir and wick, this arrangement is designed to balance moisture retention and ventilation. It does not remove the need to choose appropriate potting mix or check the plant’s moisture needs.

How often should I refill it?

Check the reservoir and potting mix rather than following a fixed number of days. The right interval depends on the plant and the conditions where it grows. A refill should respond to those conditions, not simply to an empty space in the calendar.

Before mounting, make sure you can comfortably reach the fill opening and inspect the plant. Use suitable mounting hardware and follow the installation guidance. Plants and mounting hardware are not included.
